WELCOME TO THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN SAILOR
The National Museum of the American Sailor (NMAS) celebrates the history of the United States Navy’s Sailor. This museum, located near Naval Station Great Lakes in North Chicago, Illinois, honors the American Sailor’s unwavering and patriotic allegiance to those three bedrock principles which have guided this nation’s sailors since the earliest days of the naval service: Honor, Courage, Commitment.
On a annual basis we provide support to the museum for the Lego event (STEM event that has kids building ships using Legos), Holiday’s at the Hostess House (Navy support for families and sailors), and we support the Navy League with “Sea Perch” (a STEM event where teams – usually high school level – build underwater drones and maneuver them around objects at the bottom of the Recruit Training Center’s swimming pool).
We also provide speakers honorarium’s for a lecture series.
We also support is in Artifact Acquisitions for the museum’s exhibits.
The NMASF is honored to have the support and collaboration of organizations, entities, and individuals who help to honor the American sailor through support of the National Museum of the American Sailor.
